Postmedium

Erik Kiesewetter and Ramey Sharkey have teamed up to launch Postmedium –a portfolio management system, through which artists can update their online portfolios, add new content and images, and take control of their online presence.

Right now Postmedium is seeking donations from the community in order to make this wonderful service free to New Orleans' artists. To help, visit:

Apparent Wind

Just finished this painting today. Hooray! I titled it Apparent Wind, which is a term that describes the direction of the air created by a boat's forward motion.

Cupcakes and Cookies

Sold cupcakes and cookies to the few who showed their faces at Zeitgeist on Saturday for the JAJO expo. Low turnout, but still enjoyed the great company of boothmate Erik Keisewetter, who played backup DJ and sold Constance publications.  I have spent the last 2 days delivering the leftover sweets to just about everyone I know.

Edgar Degas Traveling Exhibit

This summer I have been designing panels for the Louisiana State Museum for a traveling exhibit on Degas' stay in New Orleans. Yesterday, a portion of  the exhibit opened at the Degas House on Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans.  A larger, more in depth, version of the panels will travels around to different museums and centers within the state. Here is a sneak peak of the exhibit- please excuse the poor quality photos.

Michael Jackson Second Line

The RIP Michael Jackson second line took place yesterday on the hottest day ever recorded in New Orleans history. We danced, drenched in sweat, down St. Bernard avenue to tunes of MJ and brass bands. Yet another reminder of why we love New Orleans so much.
